Legacy of Lowell 2017

Join the UNP staff, local residents, students, and other volunteers at Bend in the River for the annual Legacy of Lowell Day, Saturday, September 30.  Legacy of Lowell is an annual day of service organized by the Bennion Center in honor of their namesake, Lowell Bennion.  Bend in the River is an environmental stewardship project where volunteers help pick up litter, remove goathead “puncturevine” invasive weeds, and other types of green space restoration along the trail. Gloves and tools are provided but be sure to wear sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, and comfortable clothing that can get dirty with outdoor work.

Check in and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. at Glendale Middle School, 1430 W Andrew Avenue (1500 S). Transportation will be provided to the Bend in the River site from there.
