Amanda comes to University Neighborhood Partners after 14 years with Art Access (a Utah nonprofit organization focused on delivering arts and education services to people with disabilities and other marginalized communities) where she was Assistant Director. She served as the Western Region Representative on the VSA Affiliate Council from 2008 to 2012, acting as a liaison between the Kennedy Center’s office of VSA & Accessibility and VSA affiliates in the Western United States. Amanda also served on the board of the Utah Cultural Alliance, committing two years each as Treasurer, Vice Chair, and Chair. She holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Theatre from Westminster College where, as a student, she served the campus community in several leadership capacities including Secretary of the Associated Students of Westminster College and President of the Westminster Theatre Society. While completing her course work, Amanda served with the AmeriCorps National Service Organization to promote literacy and provide social services to underserved families in northwest Salt Lake. She is extremely excited to return to the west side after so many years to help UNP in nurturing collaborative community partnerships.
