Julianne comes to UNP with years of experience in youth programming and education, resettlement issues with new arriving populations, and mental health services in substance use and domestic violence. After completing her B.A. in Liberal Studies and Linguistics at the University of Montana, Julianne lived and worked in Guatemala, developing a dual immersion language program for elementary students in Science and Math. Since returning to Salt Lake City, she has focused her work on food justice and youth nutrition issues, capacity building with new arriving populations, environmental education, and homeless services. She received her MSW from the University of Utah in 2011 with an emphasis on International Social Work and School Social Work. Julianne supervises Social Work students at our UNP/Hartland Partnership Center, as well as focuses on building new partnerships to join our vibrant community. An avid gardener, Julianne loves to grow and cook her own food, spend time with her family, wander in the mountains and desert, and enjoys reading a good book of fiction.
