The 2019 Xipetotec Graduation & Upcoming Imaginemos Latinx Summit

Casa Quetzalcoatl celebrated the 2019 Xipetotec Graduation this past June 1st. The event honored First Generation students, along with their families, for the important mile stone of high school graduation.

Xipetotec is the Aztec god of the West. Xipetotec is the concept that has us reflect on what is our source that allows us to transform. We can achieve this transformation only when we have learned to have trust in ourselves. It’s the acknowledgment that there are cycles and seasons in our life.

Over 75 west high school Latinx graduating seniors attended the event. Over $350,000 in scholarships were awarded to students who worked hard with Casa Quetzalcoatl to prepare their scholarship applications.

Partners included The City Library, Rico Brand, Panderia Flores, West High School, Danza & Color, and University Neighborhood Partners.
